Online Course Checklists
This page provides you three checklists that will assist you in assuring the application of online best practices in your course design and delivery. These checklists are beneficial to both new and seasoned online instructors to remain informed of current online best practices. These checklists are to be used as “self-checks” by a course representative. These checklists are not prescriptive and there are numerous ways to apply the components on them.
Course Delivery
The Online Teaching Checklist is provided as a best-practice process for consistent and continuous feedback to your students throughout the semester.
Universal Design for Learning
The Accessibility Consideration Checklist provides you details to consider design options in your online course that ensures your course design and content is accessible to all students with multiple needs.
Online Quality Assurance Checklist
The Online Quality Assurance Checklist was formally adopted in October 2020 by DACC faculty to create consistency and quality in all online and hybrid courses. The criteria in this checklist are important to include in each newly developed course or to enhance current course revisions.
The 2nd Edition was created and distributed in March 2024. Changes include the addition of "exemplary" criteria in each of the five sections of the checklist. These exemplary items provide new goals for reaching quality assurance and striving toward Quality Matters standards.
