Comfort Casita

DACC's in-house food pantry provides free supplementary food assistance to current DACC students, staff and faculty. This food is intended to lessen the burden of the growing economic challenges our community faces. We hope this food will support our student retention, academic success and overall well- being.

How Do I Pre-Register?

The Comfort Casita and AVANZA staff are thrilled to announce the launch of our new check-out system!

New Registration is required even if you have visited the Comfort Casita before.

Please take the time to do this before our open hours to help reduce your first checkout time.

Steps:

  1. Go to the website - https://app.pantrysoft.com/login/daccnmsu
  2. Create an Account and Sign up
  3. Log in and complete the registration

(Not required for Micro-Pantry Locations)

What Do I Need To Bring?

We kindly ask that you always bring a resuable bag or two and your Aggie ID

How Do I Get An Aggie ID?

The NMSU ID Card Services office provides many services to the NMSU/DACC community and is responsible for the issuance and administration of the NMSU Aggie ID Card, including the Aggie Mobile ID. In addition, ID Card Services facilitates information and services associated with the NMSU Aggie ID card including Meal Plans, Aggie Cash accounts, and Aggie Print funds.
The Aggie Mobile ID is available to all enrolled students and current employees! It provides a secure, mobile-centric campus environment with contactless student ID credentials for effortless, campus-wide transactions and access privileges.

Student Eligibility

• Must be currently enrolled in at least one DACC course or a DACC adult education course.
• Students may receive Comfort Casita items once weekly.
• Students who go more than twice monthly will be referred to the AVANZA program for additional resources and support
• The students themselves must be present to receive items
• Must provide Student ID or other identifying information at the time of visit to properly track student visits.
