Online Quality Assurance

About us

In spring 2021, the DACC Faculty Council unanimously voted in favor of adopting a Canvas requirement for the institution to be effective beginning in fall 2021. As an effort to provide consistency for our students and to set an institutional expectation for our faculty, all DACC courses, regardless of modality, will utilize Canvas for the minimum purposes of course communication between student and instructor and for grade transparency. This requires all DACC courses to provide a Canvas course shell that will include, at a minimum, the following items:

  1. A Home Page with the course and instructor information.

  2. A Course Syllabus.

  3. Canvas email is the exclusive email for communication between students and instructors.

  4. Gradebook tool for consistent transparency of a student’s performance.
