DACC Online Quality Assurance Plan for Professional Education

Online and hybrid courses are an essential part of DACC’s educational offerings. To ensure instruction of the highest quality in these modalities, DACC has adopted an Online Quality Assurance Plan for all faculty professional development.

Online instructional opportunities exist in every class. Instructors teaching face-to-face classes have online tools readily available to productively augment interactions in the classroom. By their very nature, hybrid classes rely even more heavily on the tools and strategies used for teaching and learning in online environments. In online courses, instructors will be exceptionally competent and confident in their understanding and application of course design and delivery.

The Online Quality Assurance Plan for professional development was updated and approved by faculty through their Faculty Council in November 2020. This plan will provide all DACC faculty the skills and knowledge required to effectively meet the criterion of the DACC Online Course Checklist.
