DACC Chancellor Andrew Burke 

I’m Andy Burke, and it is my privilege to serve as the Interim Chancellor of NMSU System Community Colleges. As someone who was raised in Las Cruces and has spent over 30 years at NMSU and DACC, I’m excited to welcome you to our community.

A Bit About Me

Having grown up in Las Cruces, attending our public schools, and graduating from New Mexico State University (NMSU) with degrees in business administration and a Doctorate of Educational Administration, my journey has been deeply intertwined with this community. Over the past four decades, I've had the honor of serving in various leadership roles, including Vice President for Business and Finance and Interim President at Dona Ana Community College.

We have a wide range of programs and resources, from cutting-edge technology and facilities throughout the county to dedicated support services. We are here to ensure you have everything you need to thrive. Our programs lead to careers in healthcare, advanced technologies, business, and public services. You can earn one-year certificates, and associate degrees in applied sciences; or in arts or sciences to transfer to a university.  We strive to meet the diverse needs of our students and community members.

Community Involvement

Community involvement and engagement are at the heart of what we do. I encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities available to connect, learn, and grow both inside and outside the classroom. My experiences serving on various committees and boards, including the New Mexico Finance Authority and local economic development organizations, reinforce my belief in the power of community collaboration.
