What to expect after you apply

Submitting your application is an important first step, not the final enrollment step.

  1. Check for confirmation. Save any submission confirmation or reference information, and watch the email address you used to apply.
  2. Complete outstanding admissions items. Follow DACC's instructions for official high school, GED/HiSET, or college transcripts and any additional requirements for your situation.
  3. Take care of financial aid. If you plan to seek aid, complete the FAFSA for the appropriate year and explore scholarships. Financial aid is separate from admissions.
  4. Prepare to enroll. Once admitted, follow DACC guidance for your myNMSU account, student email, orientation, advising, and course registration.
