Message from the Dean

"Dear Students, Welcome to the Division of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (AHSS) at Doña Ana Community College! Whether you are just beginning your college journey or continuing toward your goals, we’re excited to support you every step of the way. AHSS offers a range of degree and certificate programs designed to prepare you for rewarding careers or further university study. Our programs in Early Childhood Education, Education, Public Health, Digital Media, Game Design, Creative Media Technology, and the Associate of Arts combine hands-on experiences with the knowledge and skills needed in today’s job market. In addition to these career pathways, you’ll strengthen foundational skills through courses in English, Psychology, Art, Music, and Sociology, just to name a few. These subjects help you grow as a critical thinker, effective communicator, and creative problem-solver. You’ll learn to write and speak with confidence, analyze complex ideas, understand diverse cultures, and engage meaningfully with the world around you—skills that are essential no matter where your path leads. Our faculty and staff are deeply committed to student success. They bring professional expertise, creativity, and care into every classroom.
