Students within Doña Ana Community College (DACC)’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Club are holding a blanket-making drive to help kids in need.
The club is sponsoring a Blankets and Brains event on Tuesday, September 29th at the Espina Campus, 3400 S. Espina, in Alex Sanchez Hall (DASH), rooms 75 and 77. Individuals can drop in anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. to help make no-sew fleece blankets while “picking” students’ brains about DACC’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
Blankets will be donated to Jardin de los Niños, a local non-profit organization that provides early childhood education, therapeutic interventions, and comprehensive services to homeless or near homeless children and their families.
DACC’s DMS Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. Students in the program can earn an associate’s degree or certificate. To learn more about the program, visit DACC’s DMS webpage at Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
