Overview of Virtual Learning Tools

The VLIT department focuses on enhancing the virtual learning experience by offering comprehensive training in tools like Canvas LMS for effective course management, Office 365 for productivity and collaboration, and Zoom for virtual communication. Our goal is to equip students and educators with the skills needed to excel in online and hybrid courses. By staying updated on emerging technologies, we ensure that everyone is empowered to make the most of these platforms, fostering success in a dynamic learning environment.

Instructional Technology Support

Our department provides robust support for students and faculty in instructional technology. We offer Canvas Student Training, guidance on Microsoft 365 and Zoom, and help with e-books and DACC WiFi. Assistance includes app downloads, cloud support, and technical issues like password resets and 2FA.

We also support the Xcite iPad program, including iPad training and device management. Our services are available both in-person and online.

For faculty, we offer Canvas support and connect them with NMSU’s Academic Technology team or DACC’s Online Quality Assurance team, as well as Instructional Technologists and Instructional Designers.
