Social Work
What is Social Work?
Social work is a professional field focused on helping individuals, families, and communities overcome challenges and improve their well-being. Social workers advocate for vulnerable populations, provide support in areas such as mental health, child welfare, and healthcare, and connect people to essential resources and services. They address issues like poverty, inequality, and social injustice, working to empower people and promote social change. Social work combines direct support with advocacy, policy development, and community organizing to create a positive impact on society.

They also provide support for students facing personal challenges and help them navigate complex social systems. Monica can provide these resources for students, faculty and staff who need assistance with academic or personal crisis.
