Public Health Outreach

What is Public Health Outreach?

Public health outreach is the practice of educating and engaging communities to promote health, prevent disease, and improve overall well-being. It involves efforts to raise awareness about health issues, connect individuals to healthcare resources, and encourage healthy behaviors. Public health outreach can include activities like vaccination campaigns, health education workshops, screenings, and community health programs. The goal is to reduce health disparities, prevent illness, and enhance the quality of life within populations, especially in underserved or vulnerable communities.
