Mission Statement
The Virtual Learning & Instructional Technology (VLIT) unit empowers students through innovative, inclusive, and practical technology training. We equip learners with essential digital skills across platforms such as Canvas, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Zoom, supporting their success in online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses. By integrating technology with pedagogy and fostering adaptability in a digital world, VLIT prepares students for academic achievement and lifelong learning.
Unit Goals
As an educational institution, we continually strive to stay current with emerging technologies that can enhance our students' learning experience.
Our goals are:
- Canvas LMS Proficiency: Enable students to confidently navigate and utilize Canvas LMS to support learning success.
- Mastery of Office 365 Tools: Develop student competence in using Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Teams for academic productivity and collaboration.
- Efficient Communication via Outlook: Help students manage their academic and professional email communications effectively using Outlook.
- Effective Use of Zoom: Promote confident virtual learning and communication through guided Zoom training.
- Technology Integration for Academic Success: Support students in blending digital tools into their learning environments to boost engagement and performance.
