Student Government Association

The Student Government Association of Doña Ana Community College, or SGADACC, is the college’s student government organization. SGADACC strongly supports the various student organizations on campus, because these organizations enable students to broaden their interests through participation in different activities. SGADACC financially supports the Student Activities Office. Additionally, SGADACC assists recognized student organizations with various activities and financial support.

SGA is a place where you can:

SGA Clubs

Chess Club
The purpose of this organization shall be to provide a place on campus for students to receive chess instruction, play chess, and participate in and host, local and regional tournaments, while inviting local schools and clubs for events, lectures, and tournaments.
Creative Media Technology

The student club, Creative Media Technology (CMT), shall exist to support students of the business and arts of the entertainment and media industries; and to encourage the association with professional and vocational organizations including, but not limited to: ACM SIGGRAPH, New Mexico High Tech Consortium, and Skills USA.

DEBUG Club

The purpose of the DEBUG Club is to further learning opportunities and share information in the electronic data processing field. Communication between the student, faculty, administration, other organizations at Doña Ana Community College, New Mexico State University, and the community at large will be encouraged.

Dental Assisting Student Association (DASA)

DASA seeks to benefit the student while at the same time benefitting the dental community. The club participates in health and career fairs, attends and competes in conferences, and participates in professional development. The club also participates in "Give Kids a Smile" at numerous local schools and at DACC Dental Clinic.

Culinary and Hospitality Occupation Professionals (C.H.O.P)

The purpose of this organization is to educate in order to aid in the recruitment, retention, and support of students in the hospitality industry. To build and maintain relationships between hospitality professionals and students, in ways that encourage a lifelong commitment to the organization and the college. HOST prepares students for advancement within the hospitality industry. HOST allows the student the opportunity to view and experience hospitality through travel and other enriching cultural experiences.

DACC Education Club

The purpose of this organization is to promote professionalism in the education field, provide mentors for new educational students, to hold fundraisers for field trips that will enhance the knowledge of students in the education fields, and aid in the furthering of majors in the education fields and other educational development opportunities as seen fit by the members and faculty advisors. Gadsden Roadrunners

The purpose of the organization shall be to encourage students to get involved in a student organization at the Gadsden branch of Doña Ana Community College. Students will develop and support student activities for fellow students and the communities surrounding the Gadsden Center. This organization provides the student the opportunity to become involved with extracurricular activities; interact with the educational and business communities; facilitate the transition from school to the work environment; and enhance the student's education by encouraging professionalism, leadership, and academic excellence.

Latinos for Education and Acheivement

The purpose of “Latin@s for Education and Achievement Leadership Organization” is to provide Latin@s with leadership skills, experiences, and opportunities to apply the skills and prepare them to become active leaders at Dona Ana Community College (DACC) and their community. Leadership skills acquired are applied to promote Latin@s interest in higher education and encourage K-12 students to prepare for entry to DACC and College life by: 1. Generating interest among high school students to consider college for achieving Exito! 2. Promoting and assisting high school students to prepare for entry to the DACC. 3. Serve as mentors to entering DACC freshman Exito! students and assist them to adjust to college life leading to retention and graduation. 4. Collaborate with other ENLACE Exito! services, encourage active participation by parents, and collaborate with ENLACE parents in order to enhance the probability of student Exito. 5. Engage in active policy development at the state and local level supporting high school graduation, transition, retention, and graduation of Hispanic students.

Radiologic Technology Club
The purpose of this organization is to promote professionalism and aid in the furthering of the Radiologic Technology major's educational development as seen fit by the members and faculty advisor.
Respiratory Therapy Club
The purpose of this organization is to promote professionalism and aid in the furthering of the Respiratory Care major's educational development. This club is for both first- and second-year respiratory care students. Students participate in fund-raising activities to allow members to attend state and national medical conferences. Students of the club also participate and perform in local as well as state conferences.
Skills USA

SkillsUSA improves the quality of America’s skilled workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability, technical and professional skills training. SkillsUSA enhances the lives and careers of students, instructors, and industry representatives as they strive to be champions at work. SkillsUSA serves more than 300,000 students and instructors annually. The organization has 13,000 school chapters in 54 state and territorial associations. More than 14,500 instructors and administrators are professional members of SkillsUSA.

Student American Dental Hygienists Association (SADHA)

The objectives of this organization shall be to cultivate, promote, and sustain the art and science of dental hygiene, to represent and safeguard the common interest of the members of the dental hygiene profession, and to contribute toward the improvement of the oral health of the public. The club is composed of students in the Dental Assisting Program. Professional development opportunities are available through participation in programs at the local, state, and national level. In addition, students’ participation in local community service activities.

Student Nurses Association

The Student Nurses Association (SNA) strives to expand the horizons of nursing DACC students and positively contribute to the healthcare community.

Sunland Park Desert Lizards Club

The Desert Lizards Club: We are a student club located at Sunland Park Center. We encourage students to become involved in school and the community. Our goal is to provide a better academic and social setting for the students at Sunland Park by creating an inclusive environment. We welcome any student willing to contribute their unique perspectives and skills to our club.

Theater Arts Club (DACC-TAC)

The purpose of this club will be to promote and provide opportunities for those who are interested in theatre and theatre productions to do so, at Doña Ana Community College.

Union Club

The purpose of DACC UNION CLUB is to engage students in cultural diversity activities, promote bilingual communications, as well as to support and motivate students to accomplish their academic success.

Women in Technology (WIT)

The purpose of the organization shall be to encourage and support female students to pursue education, training, and employment in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) with an emphasis on computer technology as a key component of success in these fields. In accordance with the purpose of all student organizations as stated in the Student Handbook, this organization provides the student the opportunity to become involved with extracurricular activities; to interact with the educational and business communities to facilitate the transition from school to the work environment; and to enhance the student's education by encouraging professionalism, leadership, and academic excellence.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK)

Phi Theta Kappa has been in existence for more than 100 years, helping high achieving community college students to be great leaders in their respective fields. Alpha Omega Tau is DACC’s chapter. PTK offers its members an opportunity to apply for scholarships and research in areas of interest. Join this honors society and become a part of a changing world.
