Troubleshooting & Password Help

If you’re having trouble signing into Office 365, OneDrive, Canvas, or MyNMSU, don’t worry—these quick tools can help you get back on track. Below you’ll find common fixes and a direct link to reset your NMSU password securely.

My login keeps looping back to the sign-in page

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then close and reopen your browser. If that doesn’t help, try using an incognito/private window. Sometimes saved credentials can interfere with sign-in.

I forgot my password

You can reset your password using NMSU’s secure password portal. Click the “Reset Your NMSU Password” button above and follow the on-screen instructions. Make sure you know your Aggie ID number and recovery email.

I can’t access my NMSU email

Make sure you’re signing in with your full NMSU email (e.g., username@nmsu.edu). If you’re a student, your email is tied to your MyNMSU account—so resetting that password also resets your Outlook access.

I think my account is locked

After too many failed login attempts, accounts are temporarily locked. Wait 15–30 minutes, then try again or reset your password. If you still can’t log in, contact help@nmsu.edu.
