Graphic Design

We'll design your logos, flyers, etc. This can also include Social Media posts as well as Print Materials. We do ask that you allow at least two weeks notice for design requests.

We can also design announcements for Canvas. Please keep in mind that Canvas announcements must adhere to and be submitted to Canvas guidelines (currently graphics  should be no larger than 768 pixels wide by 432 pixels high), so while we can design your graphic, the request will need to be submitted via your department. For a list of guidelines and to submit, please visit the NMSU Canvas page:

https://inside.nmsu.edu/learning/request-forms/canvas-announcement-request-form/

Print Media

This can include the graphic design of your printed materials, such as rack cards, brochures, business cards, etc. If possible, we try and limit the print work to local printers.

Social Media

This can include the graphic design of your social media post. If you are creating this yourself, please make sure to keep the design a square in dimension (e.g. 1024 x 1024 pixels or 4 x 4 inches).

We are currently working to move to uploading all the different formats. Below is the accepted ratios for social media as they stand currently. Please note that these are subject to change based on the needs of each individual platform and we will update as soon as we receive notice.

If you are going to be creating a graphic for social media, we ask that you create a graphic for each platform indicated, aside from YouTube. Otherwise, send us the elements so that we can create the different sizes for you.

Social Channels Size Dimensions Aspect Ratio
Facebook PNG 15 Mb/1 Mb 600 x 315 pixels to
1200 x 630 pixels

Maximum: 1024 x 512 pixels

LinkedIn 10 MB Maximum: 33,177,600 pixels 1.91:1
Google My Business 5 MB 250 x 250 pixels to
3000 x 3000 pixels
YouTube The maximum size for a YouTube video is 256 GB or 12 hours, whichever is less.

Digital Monitor Requests

This can include the graphic design of your digital monitor request. If you are designing this yourself, IT MUST BE   1080 pixels tall ( 3.6 inches) x 1920 pixels wide ( 6.4 inches) and in either JPG or PNG format. If you send us a pdf, we can create a graphic from it, but we would appreciate you sending us the graphic ready to upload.

The time limit for each screen is just 15 seconds, so please consider carefully the number of words you are using (we recommend no more than 15) and keep any images as clean and simple as possible . T he best fonts are Open Sans and Calibri and the best images are either a flat color with an image to the side or something that will show up behind the words yet   leave your message legible. You can also opt for no images and just a light-colored   background.

We also create the graphic for you. Just send us the elements and the information that you would like to see. We will create it and then send it to you for confirmation prior to uploading it to the Navori system to be displayed on the digital screens.

Marquee Requests

Marquee requests must be very short and concise. People are driving by so we want to make sure they can see at least one message completely before they pass us. Send us your message, and we will alter it to fit the space as needed.

Photography Appointments

If you have an event that you would like photographed, or would like photos of a classroom process or event, we do request at least two weeks advance notice to make sure we have someone available to take photographs.

Marketing/Advertising

Please contact us with any marketing or advertising questions as we are striving to present a uniform marketing face to the public.

News/Press Releases

Please let us know if your student, class, department, division, etc., has anything newsworthy. We'd be happy to make it known. You can also send an email to   news@dacc.nmsu.edu.

Branding Questions

DACC has specific authorized logos that we are required to use on any materials created for the school. These cannot be altered, either color, dimensions. or aspect ratio.   No one likes a squished or squashed logo , and once it has been altered, it is no longer official.   If you have questions about this or other branding issues, please ask us. If you need a copy of these for your office, please fill out a request form.
