Office of Strategic Initiatives and Relationships (SIR)



Strategic Initiatives and Relationships, previously known as External Relations, Communication and Development Department, and Planning and Communications, is the official conduit for disseminating and providing public information about Doña Ana Community College.

We provide a variety of services for the benefit of our college and for the community at large, including:

  • Communications and Press releases with the official position of DACC on diverse topics affecting our community
  • Assistance in the organization of public and private events
  • Assistance in graphic and layout design for publications, including brochures, business cards, and posters
  • Content management of all digital boards for announcements and event advertising
  • Development of web content and management of our official website
  • Fundraising efforts for scholarships
  • Liaisons of our Institution with the multiple organizations, business, other institutions and private individuals of our community
  • Social media posts that affect our students, faculty, and staff

The mission of Strategic Initiatives and Relationships is to facilitate connections between the college and community through outreach, development, and data utilization to proactively shape the college of the future and accomplish institutional and student success.
