Registration is now open for teen pottery classes at Doña Ana Community College (DACC).
The Teen Potters’ Wheel class is for teens ages 12 to 18 years old and will be held July 13th to the 17th at the DACC Workforce Center, 2345 Nevada Ave., in room 127. The cost is $85, with two sessions to choose from: from 2 – 4 p.m. or 5:30-7:30 p.m. The class focuses on the basics of throwing on the wheel, leading to advanced techniques. Participants may be able to create mugs, covered containers, vases, and more.
Students must wear closed-toe shoes, bring an apron and towel, plus wear clothes that are okay to get dirty. The studio will provide tools, clay, and glazes. Parents must sign a release.
