Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is looking for students interested in a paid internship in journalism.
This internship is a collaboration between DACC, New Mexico State University (NMSU) and Organ Mountain News. Applicants must be DACC students. The application period is now open and closes on Friday, February 6th. Students can apply by creating an account or logging onto Handshake at this link here. Internships will take place on the NMSU campus at either KRWG-FM, KRWG-TV, News 22 or remotely with Organ Mountain News.
The internship duration is for six weeks and applicants fluent in Spanish are encouraged to apply. Internships are scheduled to begin the week of February 16th. Upon completion of the internship, students will work at DACC to create the college’s first student-run media in news reporting or digital newspaper.
This internship is made possible by a $77,000 grant from the New Mexico Local News Fund and the Department of Workforce Solutions.
