The college received two Medallion awards from the National Council of Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) during the district 4 regional conference in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma this past week. The college was recognized with a gold award for its Apple Distinguished School promotional video and a bronze for its student magazine, Vox.  The Apple partnership video was created to highlight the college’s use of Apple technology and its commitment to enhancing teaching and learning. The video was included as part of the college’s application for Apple Distinguished School designation, an honor the college recently received. The magazine features original work created by students, who also contribute to its visual design, including the layout and imagery. The publication showcases student creativity and talent while providing a platform for students to share their voices, writing, and artistic work.
The NCMPR Medallion Awards are a premier regional competition recognizing excellence and innovation in marketing and communications at community and technical colleges across the nation. These awards celebrate outstanding work in areas such as graphic design, advertising, publications, digital media, photography, and public relations. They highlight creative strategies and effective storytelling that help colleges engage their communities, promote their programs and services, and showcase the impact of higher education.
