Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is happy to announce a new mentoring program for first-year students just entering their educational career.
DACC students can take advantage of the New Mexico State University (NMSU) President’s Mentoring Program, a new initiative started by NMSU’s President Valerio Ferme. The program pairs students with faculty or staff members who will guide the student throughout their first year in school.
The goal of the program is to offer students a connection to the college, give them academic support, career development, new opportunities, and link them to services at DACC.
“We want our students who step foot on our campuses to succeed,” says Dr. Jesse Haas, associate vice president of DACC Student Services. “We want new students to have a connection and sense of belonging here at DACC and this program is tailored to meet the needs of these students.”
The program is free and helps students achieve their goals as they navigate through their first year on campus. DACC students can fill out the form at this link to sign up for the program. For more information, contact Jesse Haas at DACC at haasj@nmsu.edu or Tony Marin at NMSU at amarin@nmsu.edu.
