Learning & Listening Tour for Women

Doña Ana Community College (DACC) and the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women are hosting a Listening and Learning workshop.

This event will be held on Tuesday, June 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the DACC Workforce Center, room 121 at 2345 E. Nevada Avenue. The purpose of this workshop is to provide information to women on starting a business, education, and other resources. A panel of local women will speak at the event, sharing their experiences.

Registration to the event is free, however registration is required. There will be free lunch and childcare provided. The workshop is part of a listening tour that includes six regions in the state. The tours began in 2022 with the NM Commission on the Status of Women, which surveyed women about issues most challenging to their lives. The commission identified economic security as one of the critical issues affecting women.

Guest speakers at this event will include leaders from DACC, New Mexico State University, local political representatives, small business owners and more.
