Funding Sources

Federal Financial aid is not available for many of the DACC Workforce Development & Career Readiness Programs. Other financial assistance may be available if you are unemployed,  or if you have a disability.  Educational loans are also available from many local banks.

The federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds eligible, in-demand programs that are designed for adults over the age of 18. Depending on eligibility, individuals can receive tuition assistance to help pay for their education. Assistance can cover tuition fees, books, and supplies. If you would like to see if you qualify for the WIOA Tuition Assistance Program, please contact the Workforce Connection Center at (575) 524-6250 or visit their office at 226 S. Alameda in Las Cruces, NM.

The New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (NMDVR) has helped people with disabilities find and retain work for decades. If you are found to be eligible for services, you and your counselor will create and follow an Individualized Plan for Employment (the plan of services and activities that can reasonably be expected to lead to an employment outcome). Apply for services at the office nearest you or visit for more information. Las Cruces locations include:

  • 3381 Del Rey Blvd / (575) 524-6135
  • 226 S. Alameda Blvd / (575) 383-6705

Any person with a disability that lives in New Mexico may apply for NMDVR services.

New Mexico’s Skill Up Network (SUN) program is a consortium of New Mexico public colleges working in connection with the NM Dept. of Workforce Solutions. The goal is to increase the attainment of degrees, certifications, and industry-recognized credentials; and to create strategic alignment between education and workforce systems, resulting in improved employment outcomes. For more information or to see if you qualify for this assistance, please contact Diana Betts at (575) 524-6250 ext. 1009 or email her at:
