Commercial Technologies

The Commercial Technologies Department offers many courses and programs in Welding, HVAC, Water Technology, Electrical Apprenticeship, and Electrical Lineworker. Students will receive instruction in the classroom as well as gain practical, hands-on experience in our labs, which have state-of-the-art equipment.

Computer and Information Technology

The computer industry is continuing to rapidly expand both in our local community and around the world. Many new opportunities exist in a wide variety of work settings. These include software support, hardware repair, network security, information management, consulting, programming, and education/training. Qualified, skilled personnel are in high demand.

Dental Programs

The Dental Programs at Doña Ana Community College consist of both, the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs. Information for each program is provided on the right side under degrees and certifications, program roadmaps, and catalog. The additional information section contains important information about accreditation, specific program information, the application for each program and the link to sign up for a program information session. There is also a link to the Dental Clinic, which is a reduced pricing for most regular services. Check back often for dates and times.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography

A diagnostic medical sonographer is a highly-skilled professional who uses specialized equipment to create and analyze images of anatomical structures inside the body utilizing high-frequency sound waves. These images are used by physicians to make a medical diagnosis.

Digital Skills Academy

DACC Workforce Development and Career Readiness offer computer courses for all skill levels.

Drafting & Design Technology

The Drafting and Design Technologies Program prepares students with skills in computer-aided drafting (CAD), Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the theory and concepts to become successful in various drafting-related fields.

Aside from being knowledgeable in their subject, teachers and others working in the field of education must have the ability to communicate, inspire trust and confidence, and motivate students, as well as understand the students’ educational and emotional needs. Teachers must be able to recognize and respond to individual and cultural differences in students and employ different teaching methods that will result in higher student achievement.

The Doña Ana Community College English Department promotes academic and workplace literacy through quality instruction. We strive to connect students to foundational knowledge of rhetorical and multimodal strategies, critical thinking, and audience-centered communication. Radiologic Technology

Radiologic Technologists are an important part of the medical team as they perform various radiographic procedures and collect necessary technical data for optimal patient assessment while maintaining safe radiation exposures for both patients and healthcare personnel.

Respiratory Technolgy

Respiratory Therapists play critical roles as members of the health care team in caring for patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Respiratory therapists provide care for a diverse patient population, from newborns and children to adults and the elderly. Disease states and conditions often requiring respiratory care include asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis, emphysema, heart attack, infant respiratory distress, pneumonia, postoperative surgical complications, shock, stroke and trauma.

Science Department

The Science Department offers a variety of science classes that cover 8 disciplines, ASTR, BIOL, C S, CHEM, GEOG, GEOL, NUTR, and PHYS. These courses include laboratories at multiple satellite campuses - Espina Central Campus, East Mesa Campus, Gadsden Center, and Sunland Park Center.
