Mission

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at NMSU Doña Ana Community College can help you achieve your dreams! We offer no-cost, confidential, quality counseling and guidance for business owners, prospective owners, and managers. Whether you have been in business for some time or are starting or purchasing a business, the SBDC can help you address many issues.

What We Offer

Whether you own or are thinking about starting a business, the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Dona Ana Community College's team of professional advisors provide one-on-one confidential consultations at no cost. We offer assistance with how to manage a business, develop a business plan, create marketing strategies, and find financial resources. Additionally, we will provide assistance with how to prepare the business loan package for a lender. Seminars and workshops are also available to improve business and management opportunities.

The SBDC at DACC, serving Dona Ana and Sierra Counties, is a member of the New Mexico SBDC Network comprised of 19 centers across the state. It also provides assistance with government contracting through the Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC) Program as well as International trade through the International Business Accelerator (IBA) program.

Specialized Consulting

Specialized one-on-one, confidential consulting can help you develop an individualized plan for your business and create alternatives for solving marketing problems, including record keeping, accounting, and inventory control.

Business Education

The SBDC staff offers individualized workshops on various topics such as business management, marketing, record keeping, cyber security, disaster assistance, and business planning. These workshops can help you avoid serious and costly mistakes.

The SBDC offers business consulting on various subjects, including business start-ups, effective marketing strategies, writing a business plan, business financials, and other areas of concern you may have identified. In addition, special arrangements can be made for an SBDC consultant to visit your business site to discuss strategies.
