The two-year Fire Science Technology degree at Doña Ana Community College is accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC)
IFSAC accredits fire programs nationally based on numerous factors within the program. Some of those factors include having full-time and part-time faculty credentials available, making sure the curriculum and student learning outcomes are posted and followed, as well as submitting a self-study packet with all of the inner workings of the Fire program at DACC to include making sure that all links are working properly and that all material and information is up to date. The program just went through a successful re-accreditation in 2023 and will have another one in 2028.
