About

The Mathematics and Statistics Department of Doña Ana Community College strives to provide flexible, quality instruction based on current best practice standards in education. We have a dual role:

  • To provide developmental education courses so that students may succeed in subsequent two and four year college and university programs.
  • To provide a quality general education mathematics community college curriculum.

We strive to provide proper placement into a seamless mathematics curriculum in order to maximize the probability of student success. Our goals are centered on student success by providing small classes, a variety of class meeting times and locations, computer-based learning, quality laboratories, and tutoring. We value student diversity and we aim to facilitate our students in reaching their specific goals. The department supports the need for the faculty to pursue professional development and we support the mission of the Science, Engineering, and Mathematics Division and of the College as a whole.
