Hello, my name is Jay Watson, and I am the Title V team BPS Student Success Coach here within Dona Ana Community College. With over a decade of experience in higher education, including six years focused on Academic Advising in Dona Ana County, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to this role. I deeply respect the transformative power of higher education, which has significantly shaped my blessed life. As your Student Success Coach, I will aim to help you unlock your fullest potential using your own skills and blending them with the use of DACC’s tools to transform you into the Citizen of tomorrow’s world and thus solver of its problems.
Outside of work, I am blessed as a husband and father; raising three children with my Beloved wife, Alyssa. I am an admirer of baseball, birds, and books for their inspiration and relaxation, while spending quality time with my family fuels my dedication to my students like a furnace of boundless opportunity. I am so honored to serve your needs while utilizing your time within DACC to support a better future for all peoples. My door is always open, and I encourage you to come by and share a cuppa, a laugh, and perhaps some knowledge with me as we pursue together the opportunities of tomorrow.
