Georgie Hinojosa

Born in El Paso, Texas but happy to be in New Mexico, I received my Bachelor’s in Organizational and Corporate Communication with a minor in Theatre Acting from the University of Texas at El Paso, and received my Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University. I’ve worked for tech startups, philanthropies, consulting firms, and have been in Social Work programs in Senegal, west Africa, as well as Paris, France. However, what matters most to me is the college experience – because it was in college that I really discovered myself and met the friends who have shaped my life ever since. So, I’m happy to be at Excelencia to help other students succeed in college like I did, and to hopefully change lives – others and their own.

For my off-time, I’m split between active and nerdy pursuits. Active-wise I love to go to the gym, run around and do parkour, hike, and play sports. For nerdy pursuits, I love to play Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games with my friends, the card game Magic the Gathering, and the fantasy warfare game Warhammer and its Blood Bowl sports variant. More than anything I love watching movies, and can often be found at AMC watching new releases with my girlfriend, Celyn. Finally, I have a Smart Car named Buddy who is my world.
