Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is doing its part to help prevent suicide through a run/walk.
The college’s Student Government Association is hosting a Suicide Prevention 5k Walk & Run to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention. The event is being held on Sunday, November 17th at 10 a.m. at the Espina campus, 3400 S. Espina Street. Check-in for the run/walk begins at 9 a.m.
The event for runners costs $20 before November 16th with the cost increasing to $30 on the day of the event. A one mile walk registration fee is $15 before November 16th with the price increasing to $25 on the day of the event. The first 100 participants will receive a free t-shirt. Proceeds benefit the Las Cruces Suicide Prevention Task Force, which provides vital resources and support to those in need. There is no cost for DACC or NMSU students.
