The Cultural Diversity committee is a faculty council standing committee. Membership consists of DACC faculty and staff. Throughout the academic year the committee hosts a variety of events including speaker series, week of remembrance, and cultural diversity day. The committee also works closely with student organizations, the library, and other DACC committees to promote cultural diversity and inclusion.
Responsibilities according to Faculty Council bylaws:
- To endorse and affirm cultural activities, and curriculum at the college;
- host cultural event(s) at the college; and
- ensure that the professional development calendar continues to engage speakers who address the topic of cultural diversity.
Mission: to serve, highlight and promote the rich and diverse cultural landscape of the Dona Ana Community College. We work to recognize, honor, and celebrate this diversity in our community through cultural events, speaker series, and online intercultural activities.
