Get Started

The Commercial Technologies Department offers many courses and programs in Welding, HVAC, Water Technology, Electrical Apprenticeship, and Electrical Lineworker. Students will receive instruction in the classroom as well as gain practical, hands-on experience in our labs, which have state-of-the-art equipment. Our courses are taught by highly qualified professionals with extensive industry experience. These instructors are able to provide students not only with sound technical skills but the knowledge of what the industry will expect of them as employees. Additionally, our Advisory Committees, which are comprised of local and regional industry and business partners, guide and provide direction to the programs to ensure that our graduates will have acquired the knowledge and skills that will enable them to be competitive in the workforce.

Most of the programs lead to state or nationally recognized certifications which students can acquire either while they are enrolled at DACC or after graduation. Many forms of financial aid are available, some of which are dedicated scholarships for specific programs. We offer classes at several locations, including the Workforce Center on Nevada Street, the DACC campus on Espina Street, and area high schools. Programs offer flexible schedules for non-traditional students, as well as courses for the hobbyist. So whether, it is a course supporting work or hobby, an upgrade to your skills, or a new career, come visit with us. Your success is truly important to us.
