In 1980 I was introduced to my first computer and fell in love at first sight. I enrolled in classes but took a break to begin a family after marrying Jack Nevarez in 1984. We have four children Danny, Clara, Isaac and Diana II. In 1986, I co-founded several businesses to include; Jack-N-Boys dirt work, Diana’s Fireworks and La Diana rental property. I returned to school (DACC) to finally obtain my associates degree and was awarded “Graduate of the Year 2006”. While a student, I was selected to represent the student body and am now currently the alumnus for the Computer and Information Technology Advisory Council. While at DACC I attended their workshops, studied and obtained my Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification specializing in security. I was immediately recruited by a United States Army Research Laboratory’s contractor and have worked there since. In 2012 I re-enrolled in NMSU and am working toward a BE in the ICT Engineering program. At this point, life has only begun.
