Terry graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, from NMSU, and in 1983 she received an Associates of Applied Science, Water Technology from DACC. Terry became an instructor at DACC in 1992. Currently, she is now a Professor and Commercial Technologies Department Chair. She has continued to instruct students in water technology teaching over 17 different classes.
Terry serves on several boards and committees that inform her teaching including: the New Mexico Environment Department Wastewater Technical Advisory Committee, the New Mexico Water and Wastewater Association, and the American Water Works Association. She has received several awards including: the Cynthia Hiers-Robinson Outstanding Wastewater Instructor of the year, the John Clark Award for outstanding service to the NM Water and Wastewater Association, and the Caroline Martinez Award for Outstanding Achievement.
