In 1997 Ms Johnston received an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology from DACC, followed by a BA in Community Health from NMSU in 2000, and an MS in Radiologic Science from Midwestern State University in 2009
She is currently the president elect of the American Society for Radiologic Technologists and the President of the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists. Ms Johnston is the director of the Breast Center on Texoma in Wichita Falls, Texas.
