Janet D. Honek has delivered over 30 years of training, management, and product and business development through her work in areas of education, marketing, sales and customer service. Ms Honek received her BA in Secondary Education from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA, and earned a Masters in Applied Theology from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. Since 1994, she has applied her services to developing small businesses. In 1996, she took over the management and administration of a small international manufacturing company where she developed new marketing strategies, distribution channels, and retail sales support. Her experienced hand increased their name recognition in the market and doubled their sales the first year. In 2000, Ms Honek was hand-selected to manage a ‘renegade’ sales force, which she molded into the highest producing region in the US.
In 2009, Ms Honek and her husband founded Sunspot Solar Energy Systems. You might have already met her at a function around town. She loves to meet people and help them improve their lives whether it is by growing their business or "going green" and adding a solar PV system. As a founding Member of Sunspot Solar Energy Systems, she feels it is important to help our community by buying local and using New Mexico-made products and services.
