My name is Leticia Herrera; I am originally from Chihuahua Mexico where I studied my first career in the accounting field. I immigrated to the United States with my family thirteen years ago. Arriving to a new country, I encountered a different culture and language and I became determined to continue my studies in order to assimilate this new way of life. I obtained my GED and two associates in education at Dona Ana Community College, Bachelors in Spanish at New Mexico State University, and finally obtained a Master's Degree in Spanish in the Linguistics area at NMSU. Currently I have the opportunity to do what I like, which is to teach Spanish as a second language in a professional manner. Today I have the privilege to work part time instructing Spanish with DACC and NMSU.
