Ana has a long association with DACC. Born in Cuauhtemoc, Mexico she moved to the United States in 2004. She received her GED from DACC’s Mesquite Learning Center in 2008 and immediately enrolled at DACC to pursue an Associates in both General Education and Public Health. After Graduating from DACC in December 2013 Ana continued her education at NMSU and is expected to graduate in December 2014. While at DACC she participated in a practicum with Concilio CDS, a private non-profit dedicated to eliminating poverty and health disparities. Ana was offered, and accepted, a position as Outreach Coordinator. She is a recipient of the Spring Board Scholarship through the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico for the last 5 semesters as well as a new recipient of the Segal AmeriCorp Educational Award. Ana is married to Saul Soto and has one son Edgar Gonzalez and two step children Dania and Antonio Soto. She plans on pursuing her Master Degree in Public Health.
