About

The Drafting and Design Technologies Program prepares students with skills in computer-aided drafting (CAD), Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the theory and concepts to become successful in various drafting-related fields.
These include architectural technology, civil/survey technology, mechanical drafting/solid modeling, geographical information systems (GIS), and surveying technology. The Drafting and Design Technologies Program provides a foundation for other careers, such as engineering and architecture.
Transition pathways are available to students who wish to continue their education, including those leading to engineering technology, geomatics, architecture, and information and communication technology at such universities as New Mexico State University, the University of New Mexico, and Texas Tech University.
