Luzevelia Vargas

Vargas first graduated from DACC in 2011 with an Associate in General Studies and in 2013 she received an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies. She is now an Advanced Certified Paralegal and works full time at the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Las Cruces.

Vargas works with attorneys and staff in the office to prepare cases for trial and filings for appeals to the 10th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.  Vargas is an expert on complex filing rules and has kept up with the changes due to COVID-19 restrictions
