Technical Studies


Welcome to Technical Studies! Where the students truly do come first.

Technical Studies offers many courses and programs in Welding, HVAC, Building Construction, Water Technology, Electrical, Electrical Lineworker as well as our newest program Environmental and Energy Technologies. Students will receive instruction in the classroom as well as gaining practical, hands-on experience in our labs which are equipped with state-of-the art equipment. Our courses are taught by highly qualified professionals that have extensive industry experience. These instructors are able to provide students not only with sound technical skills, but the knowledge of what industry will expect of them as employees. Additionally, our Advisory Committees, which are comprised of local and regional industry and business partners, guide and provide direction to the programs to ensure that our graduates have acquired the knowledge and skills that will be allow them to be competitive in the workforce. Most of the programs lead to state or nationally recognized certifications which are either acquired while enrolled at DACC or students are eligible to set for certification exams after graduation. Financial aid is available to many students with some of the programs having dedicated scholarships. We offer classes at several locations including the Workforce Center on Nevada Street and the DACC campus on Espina Street as well as at area high schools. Programs offer flexible schedules for non-traditional students as well as courses for the hobbyist. So whether, it is a course supporting work or hobby, an upgrade to your skills, or a new career, come visit with us. Your success is truly important to us.
