Study Space

The East Mesa and Espina libraries have a variety study spaces for student use. Reading chairs, study tables, and study rooms are all available on a first-come, first-served basis. East Mesa also has study carrels for more focused individual work. While we ask users to be polite of those studying, the libraries are busy places and aren’t silent. If you need silence, borrow headphones from the front desk.

Computers

Computers are here for student and public use. East Mesa and Espina libraries have computers that comply with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards and are ready for those with special needs. Others may use the ADA computers, but preference is given to those who need them.

Reserve Items

Professors and departments have placed many required textbooks and additional resources on reserve at the library. Ask at the front desk for reserve items. Reserve items, with a few exceptions, may only be used in the library and most have a two hour checkout period. If there is a book or other item for a class you are taking that you would like to see placed on reserve at the library, please talk to your professor.

Taking a Break?

In addition to all the teaching resources, the library also has many popular movies and TV shows on DVD that you may check out. We also have a great selection of fiction books that may be checked out for your reading pleasure.
