Doña Ana Community College President Mónica Torres is in Washington DC on a business trip today, but passed her thanks to the voters of Doña Ana County for supporting the Community College General Obligation Bond that passed in yesterday’s election.
“We thank the voters of Doña Ana County for supporting the general obligation bond that will allow DACC to continue to offer a wide range of educational opportunities for citizens of our county. This funding will allow DACC to update critical infrastructure as well as to make facilities and equipment improvements at all of our locations,” Torres said.
“In addition, the funding will support two new buildings—creative media and advanced technology—to support industry needs in the region. Working with local businesses, NMSU, and community members, DACC supports the growth of a workforce that not only improves the quality of life for individuals and their families but for the entire community,” she added.
