The Higher Learning Commission, (HLC) the regional accrediting body for New Mexico State University-Doña Ana Community College (DACC), informed President Renay Scott that on April 20 the Institutional Actions Council of HLC, “…accepted the team report for New Mexico State University-Dona Ana Community College.”
This action by the HLC reaffirms continued accreditation for DACC. The report indicated that DACC was meeting all standards with no conditions or concerns.
This mid-cycle visit was very positive. “This is great news for our college and the community we serve,” said Scott. “Led by Susan Wood, the work by faculty and staff that went into preparing for this visit was outstanding.”
The HLC review team was on the East Mesa Campus on February 12 – 13, 2018. While here, they met with students, faculty, staff and administration about programs, the academic culture and to ascertain whether the college was fulfilling requirements of HLC standards.
“We appreciate the work of faculty and staff in providing outstanding services to our students,” said Scott. “This report shows we are improving and striving to provide a great educational experience.”
