The Doña Ana Community College (DACC) Health Sciences Department will hold an open house and student showcase on September 26, 2018.
“We hope all those who register and visit will gain an understanding of the different careers a health education can offer,” said Health Sciences Dean Josie Carmona. “Our outstanding students and great faculty and staff work together to accomplish much and they want to share information about their chosen fields of study. We hope the community can attend.”
The event features tours of the different departments and presentations by students about the unique programs offered at the Community College. The tours will start in Alex Sanchez Hall with registration beginning at 5 p.m.
“We are inviting our community partners to attend this event and help celebrate our students, including those who work with our graduates and student’s families,” Carmona said. “Both these groups know how hard students work in school and the many sacrifices made to finish their degree.”
The featured programs include:
- Dental Assisting
- Dental Hygiene
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Health Care Assistant
- Nursing Assistant
- Electrocardiogram Technician
- Patient Care Technician
- Phlebotomist Basic
- Radiologic Technology, and
- Respiratory Therapy
“At DACC our health science departments are dedicated to students and families,” Carmona said. “And, through student, faculty and staff dedication we are committed to care.”
