A Presidents’ Day Open House will be held on the Doña Ana Community College (DACC) East Mesa Campus on Friday, February 21 from 4:30-7 pm.
The event features food prepared by the Culinary Arts Program, health monitoring by the DACC Health Sciences Program, and microscopic examination of drinking water by the Water Technology Program. The Customized Training Program will provide information to local business about training opportunities. Several giveaways for attendees include a dog house built by the Construction Technology Program and much more.
“We want everyone to know more about their communities’ college,” said DACC Vice President for External Relations Eddie Binder. “Through this event and future open houses at all of our campuses and centers, residents can see what resources are available at DACC for our neighbors, our students and the community.”
Other activities include a children’s art project and a blood drive. In addition, area services have been invited to attend including departments from the city of Las Cruces, police and fire departments. A blood drive will be held in the parking lot of the Student Resources (DASR) commons area. Neighborhood businesses have also been invited to attend.
All community members are invited to attend including residents surrounding the campus.
Tours of several facilities will be available including:
