The following are required of all students applying for the Dental Assisting Program:

Cumulative Min GPA: 2.8

  • 8 Hours of Observation
  • MMR Vaccinations
  • Hepatitis B Series
  • Hepatitis A Series
  • Varicella Titer
  • HPV
  • Tetanus Vaccine (within past 10 years)
  • Completed Application Packet (Signed Application, Performance standards, Essay on topic, GPA Star Report)
  • TEAS Exam

Upon review of applications, qualified student’s packets will be graded by a rubric. All students will be notified of their admission status in writing once the applications have been completed.


Students selected for admission to the program will be expected to attend an orientation session over the summer, and will also be responsible for the following:

  • CPR Certification
  • National Background Check
  • 10-Panel Drug Screen
  • Tuberculin Skin Test
