Kids College

Explore careers in STEAM and have fun with Doña Ana Community College’s Kids College and Career Camps!

The DACC Workforce Development and Career Readiness (WDCR) department is offering summer College and Career STEAM camps for kids, 6-14 years old, starting June 4th and running until August 3.

Camps will have hands-on activities exploring STEAM careers connected to majors and programs offered by Doña Ana Community College.  Each week will have different topics such as Culinary Arts, Engineering, Coding, Art, and Woodworking.

Camps are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am -12 pm or 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, with all day options available.  The camps will be held at the DACC Workforce Center at 2345 Nevada in Las Cruces.  The tuition is $80, which includes materials and snacks.

Space Explorers

Did you know that there are about 100 Billion Trillion stars in the universe? In Space Explorers, you will learn about stars, the planets, the moon, and more through hands-on experiments. You will construct an edible model of the sun, create 3-D planets, build asteroids and comets, and more! Hop on board and become a Space Explorer!

Bake Master: Holiday Edition (June Session) Session FULL


It’s never too early to get ready for the holidays! In this course you will learn about traditional holiday ingredients and use them to make sweet and savory goodies. You will whip up gingerbread cookies, bake breakfast bites, create Christmas cupcakes, and more! Join us and you'll be the master of holiday baking!

Bake Master: Next Level (July Session)Session FULL


This course is for bakers who have completed the original Bake Master course or have some experience in the kitchen. In this class, you will use your skills and learn new techniques to make awesome homemade goodies like cinnamon rolls, soft and buttery pretzels, specialty cupcakes, and more! Let’s take your baking skills to the next level!

Coding for Kids

Build apps and program robots!

Learn the basics of coding and programming on I-Pads using Apple’s Swift coding language and Sphero to develop and publish your own apps and program robots?

3D Design

Do you like video games? Want to design your own character and bring it to life via 3D printing? In this camp, you will explore 3D printing and introductory concepts that answer all your questions about the gaming industry and what it takes to obtain careers in the fields of computer technologies and engineering. Ages 10-14.

Art Exploration All Sessions FULL


Find your creative muse. DACC offers several arts programs including photography, drawing, painting, and pottery.  Explore pencil, watercolor, and pottery to unlock your creativity and visualize your ideas.

Digital Graphics

Learn to create digital images like the pros! Digital media graphics is an exciting career that combines artistic talents with computer skills.  In this camp, learn about two main programs:  Illustrator and Photoshop. In this camp you will learn Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and create your own original projects using your creativity and technical skills.


Ever think of a career in Building Construction Trades?  Come to this camp and learn with one of DACC’s best instructors how to work with wood, lasers, and tools.  You will complete two woodworking projects and learn about careers in the industry.

First Responders
Become CPR Certified and learn the basics of First Aid.  This camp is excellent for big brothers and sisters, babysitters, and kids interested in the medical fields.
