Camino Real Middle School Students attend DACC

One hundred and seventy-four students from Camino Real Middle School attended Doña Ana Community College (DACC) East Mesa Campus for several classes during the “Day of Technology.”

Sessions conducted by DACC faculty and student club members included:

  • How to keep home computer’s safe in the Cyber Security workshop
  • How to write Computer Code and participate in the field of computer science
  • How to keep computers up and running in the Computer Building session
  • How to solve problems in computer coding with Google Coding and Games, and
  • How to design buildings in Computer Aided Drafting and Modeling

Faculty led the workshops and were ably assisted by more than 20 DACC students from the Debug, Women in Technology and American Institute of Architecture student clubs. The mid schoolers worked from 9 am to 3:15 pm and were rewarded with completion certificates.

The event was sponsored by the Computer and Information Technologies (CIT) department.

DACC offers Career Technical Education programs (CTE) resulting in an associate degree or professional certification. Through CTE, students acquire academic, technical, and employability skills for in-demand careers including in:
