Law Enforcement Academy Program
We are in the process of completing the certification application (self-study) for the law enforcement academy program. The chart below illustrates our current progress on the program. As we move toward completion of program development and implementation, the site information will be updated accordingly. The program is not currently recruiting or enrolling students, but as soon as certification is complete, a community outreach and recruitment program will be initiated.
The DACC Law Enforcement Academy (LEA) certificate program is focused on preparing the student to qualify for certification as a law enforcement officer in the State of New Mexico. Students participating in the course will be prepared to take the state tests. Certification as a law enforcement officer may only occur if a person is currently employed by a law enforcement agency within the State of New Mexico.
Our suggestion is to review the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) available through the link on the left side navigation bar.
