Students will be able to:

· effectively present technical information through oral communication

· effectively present technical information through written communication

· effectively work as a team

· evaluate treatment processes utilizing collected or given data

· identify appropriate process control changes for different treatment processes based on process evaluation

· identify cause(s) of mechanical/equipment/system failure

· identify corrective actions for mechanical/equipment/system failure

· evaluate invalid labs analysis to determine corrective actions

· identify information/data required to complete calculations

· accurately perform calculations

· determine the appropriate ethical action that should occur in a given circumstance

· differentiate between situational and the other various theories of ethics

· draw a treatment facility schematic including all processes

· identify correct operational parameters for treatment processes

· identify sampling points for data collection from treatment processes

· demonstrate correct/accurate laboratory technique

· perform appropriate lab analysis with acceptable accuracy

· perform appropriate process control changes for various treatment processes

· identify safety issues in the water and wastewater field

· perform operational/laboratory duties safely

· perform maintenance/repairs of equipment

· demonstrate knowledge of applicable regulations and their application

· integrate multiple, related concepts to determine appropriate operational response
